This is a hand-embroidered Palestinian abaya, made by hand using traditional tatreez (Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery). It is . The embroidery carries the cypress, or saru, a symbol of endurance, mourning, and the evergreen continuity of life. It also features the grapevine and its leaves, evoking the hillside terraces and the abundance of the harvest. This is a one-of-a-kind piece; once it is sold it will not be repeated.
