This is a hand-embroidered Palestinian abaya, made by hand using traditional tatreez (Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery). Worked on kashmir, a finely woven shawl-weight cloth with a soft, warm hand. It is the falahi village style, rooted in the everyday tatreez of Palestinian peasant dress.
