All of our tatreez is worked in DMC cotton embroidery thread, and this chart shows every colour we keep in the atelier — more than four hundred and fifty shades, grouped by colour family. Screens vary, so treat each swatch as a close guide to the dyed cotton rather than an exact match.
When you have a piece made for you, reference thread colours by the DMC code printed beneath each swatch — the same number stitchers the world over use for that shade. Shades within a family sit next to their lighter and darker siblings, so it is easy to point to exactly the depth you want.
