This is a hand-embroidered Palestinian dress (fustan), made by hand using traditional tatreez (Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery). Worked on crepe, a fluid luxury satin-weave with a soft matte drape. It is the regal malaka style — densely embroidered with gold and metallic thread in the manner of a bride's crowning thobe. Each piece is worked in the fallahi cross-stitch (tatreez) that forms the backbone of Palestinian village embroidery, each stitch counted by hand. From the Embroidered Elegance collection.
