This is a hand-embroidered Palestinian abaya, made by hand using traditional tatreez (Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery). Worked on rich velvet, the luxurious ground long favored for festive and bridal pieces. It is the regal malaka style — densely embroidered with gold and metallic thread in the manner of a bride's crowning thobe. Each piece is worked with kasab metallic thread, the gold and silver cording of festive Bethlehem embroidery. From the Crown Jewels collection. This is a one-of-a-kind piece; once it is sold it will not be repeated. Care: hand wash or dry clean only. All sales are final.
